BASQUE COAST BIOSPHERE OF URDAIBAI, BERMEO, GERNIKA & GAZTELUGATXE

Depart from Bilbao to start a half-day excursion to the Basque coast. Trail starts to head along the right bank of the river and letting across the industrial towns of Barakaldo, Sestao and Portugalete. Once in Getxo, we reach the famous Transporter Bridge of Biscay, where we will stop for a short visit. We travel to pass through the imposing Castle of Butron with 45 meters high. From here we head for the coast area to discover San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, a beautiful chapel clinging to a rock and surrounded by the sea, from a viewpoint.Wewill continue along the coastwithmagnificent views up to the typical fishing village of Bermeo,where we will stop for a walking visit. Later, we turn next to Mundaka and we will be able to enjoy the beauty views of the Urdaibai Reserve of Biosphere. We follow the route and reach the famous town of Gernika and visit the Assembly House and the Tree.
