Paso a paso

Three friends, two days and one purpose. This could also be the alternative or complementary title of this wonderful play. Peter Quilter offers us a text brimming with humour and love, fears and illusions, mixed feelings and revealed truths. An exquisite cocktail formidably blended that becomes a plea for friendship and personal relationships. A weekend, an excursion in the middle of nature, an uphill road that they will have to walk together to meet again and reinvent themselves, but above all to pay a posthumous tribute. A toast dedicated to a fourth friend who recently passed away. She, Rebeca, will always be present in this theatrical road movie that takes place on the paths of a mountain. A mountain that could be as close to the spectator as is the story and the protagonists who tell it to us.

You, the viewer, will be an invited witness, or rather an insider witness, to the experiences of these three extraordinary women, just as many of the women who surround us in our daily lives are also extraordinary. Those women that we all have and that form an indispensable part of our environment and are the basic pillar of our lives.

Our three friends, Sofia, Paula and Mónica have a mission; to take an offering in the form of a handwritten stone to deposit it, as if it were a monument, at the top of the peak where their beloved and longed-for Rebeca used to climb to escape from routine and give herself a break. They will want to do the same, but first they will have to get there, and the path will be as challenging, unpredictable and hilarious as life itself.

Sometimes, when you are walking through the countryside, when you come across someone, there is still the good habit of greeting the walker with a good morning or a hello and then continuing on your way. This time I propose something different; from the armchair where you are sitting, travel to the mountain we are going to show you and when you come across these three women, after greeting them, obviously, follow them and accompany them on their journey to the top. You won't regret it.
