Day 1. Bilbao - Santander
Reception at the historic Concordia station in Bilbao and the start of our railway experience through Green Spain. After our first visit to the city, we will discover the blend of tradition, contemporary architecture, and urban transformation that defines Bilbao today. After lunch, we will begin the journey to Santander travelling through the landscapes of the Cantabrian coast. Free time to enjoy the elegant atmosphere of the Cantabrian capital before dinner. Overnight at destination.
Day 2. Santander - Santillana del Mar - Llanes
Breakfast on board as the train continues its journey through green landscapes and small villages in the north of the peninsula. The day will take us to Santillana del Mar, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Spain. After the visits and lunch, the journey continues towards Asturias, following the coast of Cantabria until reaching a charming fishing village open to the sea. Dinner and night at the destination.
Day 3. Llanes - Arenas de Cabrales - Oviedo
After breakfast, we will enter the natural surroundings of the Picos de Europa and Arenas de Cabrales, where mountains, tradition and landscapes play the leading role in one of the most evocative stages of the journey. After lunch, we will continue to Oviedo, the elegant capital of the Principality of Asturias. We will pass through its historical centre before returning to the train for dinner. Overnight at destination.
Day 4. Oviedo - Gijón - Luarca
The journey continues along the Asturian coast, alternating maritime landscapes, small towns, and panoramic views of the Cantabrian Sea. We will make a stop in Gijón, a city open to the sea and renowned for its cultural and gastronomic character. In the afternoon, the train will head towards Luarca, the White Villa of the Costa Verde. Free time to savour the ambience before dinner. Night on board.
Day 5. Luarca - Ribadeo - Taramundi - Viveiro
While we enjoy breakfast on board, the train will enter Galicia, journeying through some of the most stunning landscapes of the Atlantic coast. The day combines visits to Ribadeo and Taramundi, where tradition, nature and ethnographic heritage embody the essence of northern Spain. Arrival in Viveiro, dinner and overnight stay in Viveiro.
Day 6. Viveiro - Ferrol - Santiago de Compostela
During the last breakfast on board, we will arrive in Ferrol. From there we will travel to Santiago de Compostela, a monumental city and historic destination for pilgrims. After the guided tour and farewell lunch, we will end this railway experience through Green Spain.
Payment Methods
Transfer or credit card. To make a firm reservation, 15% of the total amount of the reservation will be required, the rest 31 days before the departure of the trip.
Cancellation and Changes
1. Cancellations
The client may cancel the services requested at any time, making the appropriate cancellation in writing (within the opening hours of our offices) and will be entitled to a refund of the amounts paid, with the exception of 15% of the total cost of the trip as compensation.
The cancellation penalty will be applied from the moment the booking is made. The percentage to be applied, always on the PVP in force, will be increased depending on the date of cancellation with respect to the date of commencement of the trip, as follows (in addition to 15%):
Cancellation between 30 and 15 days: 25%.
Cancellation between 14 and 5 days: 50%.
Cancellation between 4 and 1 day: 80%.
Cancellation less than 24 hours before or no-show on the day of departure: 100%.
Changes
All changes must be communicated in writing (within our office opening hours).
a) Changes to the date of travel
Changes are allowed free of charge, if communicated more than 120 days in advance.
Communicated between 120 and 31 days in advance: 15% compensation.
Changes to the date of travel are not permitted less than 31 days before the departure date of the trip.
b) Changes in the identity of passengers:
Changes to the identity of one of the two passengers travelling in a double room are permitted up to 5 days before the departure date of the trip.
No changes in the identity of the two passengers travelling in a double room or of the passenger travelling in a single room are permitted. Such changes will be considered Cancellations.
The train
The carefully remodelled lounges and rooms of the Costa Verde Express make every trip an unforgettable experience, in which you can rest and enjoy the trip in comfort.
The entire train, both rooms and common areas, is connected internally allowing free transit of all passengers.
Gran Clase Suite
Cosy room with wood veneer panels, which generates a warm and cosy atmosphere. Available in two formats: "Day" mode with a sofa and "night" mode with a double bed.
It has a double bed (1.35 m x 1.80 m), desk, wardrobe, luggage rack, minibar and safe. It is air-conditioned with independent regulator and has a complete private bathroom with hydro-massage shower/steam sauna, hairdryer and a variety of welcome amenities.
Lounge cars
The four saloon cars constitute the most unique and beautiful space on the train, they are true railway jewels that arouse admiration for their external design, their finish and interior decoration.
One of the four lounges has a bar and dance floor where you can enjoy a pleasant evening. Another room has a second bar for a more relaxed drinking experience.
In the other two lounges you can relax, share a board game, chat or contemplate the landscape.
The traveller has daily newspapers in digital format, magazines, a careful selection of books from the library and internet connection. In short, everything you need to make your trip a real pleasure, plus a select crew of professionals at your service. Both on board the elegant train lounges and in the restaurants along the route, the innovative gastronomy and the best wines of northern Spain are the basis of a gastronomic and cultural experience.
Life on board
Imagine a luxury train where you can enjoy and relax for six days and five nights, turning it into your lounge, means of transportation, meeting place, restaurant, bedroom or dance floor. In which every day you will wake up in a different place, with unique landscapes from the comfort of your room or any of our evocative lounges.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes during the day when you are visiting different places. In the evening, you can opt for a more formal attire.
After dinner, you can enjoy an evening of leisure. Every night, there are live performances or dancing on board. You can also choose to have a more quiet drink in another one of the lounge cars, go for a walk around town or return to the privacy of your room.
To help you rest, after the end of the day, the train shall remain standing at the station during the night.

After breakfast, we will journey deep into the heart of the Picos de Europa to uncover some of the most iconic landscapes of northern Spain. The day blends nature, tradition, and picturesque mountain villages before we return to the train to continue our journey towards Cantabria. Dinner and night in Cabezón de la Sal.
Day 5. Cabezón de La Sal - Santillana del Mar - Santander
We will start the day by visiting Santillana del Mar and the Neo-Cave of Altamira, renowned for their historical and cultural significance in northern Spain. Day 6. Santander - Bilbao

Day 2 El Berrón - Llanes
Breakfast on board as the train heads towards the eastern Asturian coast, passing through mountain scenery, meadows, and cliffs overlooking the Cantabrian Sea. The day in Llanes gives you the freedom to enjoy the destination at your leisure, strolling through its historical centre, by the port or along the seafront. For those who wish, lunch can be enjoyed on board. At nightfall, the train will offer a special dinner accompanied by an evening of artistic performances, complementing the exclusive and relaxed ambience of this rail experience. Day 3. Llanes - Oviedo
After breakfast on board, the morning will continue at a leisurely pace in Llanes, allowing you once again to enjoy its seafaring atmosphere and natural surroundings.
